My name is Neil Ruddiforth and I’ve been in the design industry for more than 15 years.
It’s really a hobby I’ve turned into a career. If I’m not working with clients I’m often found sketching out new ideas and letting my imagination wander creating new illustrations. I’m a firm believer in “you’re only as good as your last piece of work” so I’m always trying new things, and solve the problems that are presented to me in a visual way.
I specialise in print design, brand identity, digital design, illustration and UI design. I’m ideally suited with both established companies and their brands, to start ups looking to get their presence known in the larger world. If your interested in talking to me please get in touch with the contact form below. I look forward to working with you.
I specialise in brand identity, company collateral, press advertising, outdoor media, and exhibition material (to name a few)
Using WordPress I can create responsive media rich websites. I am also proficient in creating custom HTML emails.
I specialise in photo-manipulation, DazStudio and vector illustration.

I reside in the typically rainy part of Scotland called Aberdeen, where I studied graphic design. I’ve always been into art, so it seemed like a natural progression to turn my hobby into my career. Whilst still at college (way back in 1998..so long ago) I was asked to be a lecturer part time. It was an unusual experience, studying and teaching at the same time, but it did give me confidence that my lecturers saw the potential.
When I left college I worked with various design agencies for 8 years around Aberdeen learning my trade, working with some high profile clients. Then I found myself employed by a digital learning company, with all new skills to learn. This is where I was introduced to user interface design and animation, which I both took head on to widen my skill set. I was also fortunate to be given the responsibility of working with the marketing team so I could still practice my design. Lots of late nights but all very much worth it.
But it didn’t stop there. In my spare time I took up photography, and found a program called DazStudio. I’m not a 3D model builder (I’ll leave that to the other guys) but I do like illustrating with 3D assets and DazStudio gave me the opportunity to do that. It allows me to translate an idea to image really quickly. You’ll see examples in my portfolio.
